THIS IS A BAYONETTE CROSS BELT BUCKLE OR PLATE FROM ABOUT 1808 WHEN THE WAR STARTED GEORGIA HAD A BUNCH OF THESE IN THE MILITIA ARMORYS THEY CUT OFF THE BAYONETTE SCABBARD, SHORTENED THE STRAP TO MAKE A BELT PRETTY COOL THIS ONE WAS FOUND NORTH OF FREDERICKSBURG IN THE CONFEDERATE WINTER CAMP ALONG POLE CAT CREEK THIS ONE HAS A VERY SLIGHT BEND
