THIS IS A SINGLE HOOK NCO BELT BUCKLE THAT CAME OFF A RELIC BOARD IT HAS A RARE SINGLE HOOK DESIGN I HAD LOUIS LEIGH LOOK AT IT AT THE RICHMOND VA SHOW BEFORE I PURCHASED IT HE SAID THAT THE SINGLE HOOK WAS RARE . IT IS CONSIDERED A MUSICANS BUCKLE THE DESCRIPTION ON PAGE 291 IN ODONNELS BOOK STATES THAT THE ORIGINAL WIRE HOOKS WERE REMOVED TO CONVERT THE MODEL 1826 SHOLDER BELT PLATE INTO A NON REGULATION WAIST BELT PLATE THESE WERE LIKELY ALTERED BY A STATE OR PRIVATE ORGANIIZATION FOR AN NCO OR MUSICIAN THERE IS A PICTURE OF A CW BAND WEARING THESE PLATES
